Pavol Pleva, Applications Business Unit Manager in Soitron
Let me provide you with some details from the Microsoft largest event in the year. Thanks to Soitron, I had the opportunity to join additional 12 000 partners in Orlando, Florida.
On Tuesday I had the opportunity get to know the Surface Hub. As Soitron is strongly commited to video solutions, I was thrilled to see the upcoming future (in Q4 MS plans to launch it) and Microsoft vision.
Reinvent productivity & business processes are one of the three strategy pillars that were announced during Satya Nadella keynote. The Surface Hub will be a strategic move for Microsoft in this area. The general manager Surface division Brian Hall pointed out several Surface Hub functions, which are integrated in one device and ecosystem.
Secondly, Surface Hub serves as Whiteboard and project screen. You can make any notes, drawings, actually you are actually writing, drawing to OneNote application. With one click you can copy or share the note, so you are able to win the whiteboard in office/conference room with the full feature list of OneNote, which is one of the most productive tools in MS portfolio.
Lastly, the surface Hub is fully integrated with Skype for Business environment and within 1 or 2 clicks you can arrange one to one video call, multiple video call as well as virtual meeting with wide range of screen sharing.
From my perspective its worth exploring this area, because it provides more opportunities than just video conferencing. Enjoy the videos and feel free to contact me for further discussion.
