Animals in the workplace? Definitely yes.

We’re absolutely clear on this! Pets are part of our company culture, which would not be complete without them. Why have we decided to open our doors to four-legged partners?

The answer is simple – it brings joy to everyone around. By introducing this benefit years ago, our employees have gained so much more:

Positive health benefits

Research shows that the presence of a pet in the workplace can reduce stress levels by up to 11%. Another study, back in 1998, confirmed that dog petting helps reduce heart rate and blood pressure. Researchers in Japan have also found that a dog’s gaze can increase the levels of oxytocin, which has been shown to improve mood. These are just a few facts suggesting that pets are indeed therapeutic.

Although we make sure that our staff are familiar with various practices to prevent stressful situations, a pet is the quickest remedy. It is always great to hear: “Hey buddy, you came in today? Come here, you’re a cutie.” By the tone of voice, one can easily recognize that a four-legged colleague is being welcomed in the office and ready to spread joy all around.😊We support the well-being of our staff not only by these nice visits, but also by organizing mental health days, lectures or various preventive examinations by  experts from the relevant field.

Intentional change of focus

When immersed in work, sometimes we lose track of time. Certainly, this can be a good thing. However, we should not forget to take breaks – to stand up from behind the desk, to take a walk, to take our mind off the problem and think of something else for a moment. Our coffee lovers take a break when they hear the sound of the coffee machine, our dog lovers when they see the charming gaze of a furry friend. The important thing is that everyone finds a way to “switch off” for a moment.

Communication diversification

Animals are known to break down communication barriers between people. Although we have a friendly atmosphere in our office, with or without furry friends, we are always delighted to be in their presence. Occasionally, pets make us stop by a colleague that we perhaps do not often have contact with during meetings.

Shared moments

Hybrid work – even pets had to get used to this new normal. The pandemic brought a long period during which they had their masters and mistresses with them around the clock. Now, after having returned back to our offices, we have also retained the option of working from home. Since we welcome dogs with open arms, they no longer have to stay at home. They have their own corner at their owner’s desk.

Live fashion shows

“Like dog, like master” – this is very true for us. Not only are they equally nice, but sometimes they happen to come to work in matching outfits. So, there’s no doubt who belongs to whom. These outfits would definitely be appreciated by the fashion police.😊

Animals in our Soitron group

Millennium, our affiliated company, is also open to pet visits, with fluffy bunnies popping up from time to time. Just like dogs, other animal partners have a positive impact on their surroundings.

And what do our colleagues’ children think about this work arrangement? They say that, not only can we sit at our computers all day long, but we have dogs here to keep us company. What would the children give for that? 😉
