On March 29, the first of discussion meetings of Brunch series took place in Holiday Inn Hotel, Žilina. Soitron invitation was accepted by more than 20 representatives of major companies from Žilina´s region. These participants together with the main guest, Martin Krekáč, managing partner of Jenewein Group, discussed current topics and trends in human resource management.
In Žilina region, economic crisis has passed, what was also confirmed last week at Speech & Brunch Žilina. Present managers discussed topics related to growing labour market – how to keep key and talented employees, how to motivate them by rotation on different positions, but also how to ensure management continuity by succession planning.
Representatives of the companies were interested in the best way how to identify the potential of their employees and if so the called „assessment centres“ still represent the right choice. Representatives of the manufacturing companies strongly represented in Žilina and its surroundings especially in automotive industry, exchanged experiences related to current pressure to personnel costs reduction and they agreed that the main trend is to focus on skilled and educated people and replace low-skilled jobs by automatic procedures.
Martin Krekáč with participants of the Brunch also opened the topic of actual changes in the HR perception: „In the past, the HR department was often perceived as the one transforming tables and charts, but situation has changed. Everything is different today. HR is a part of strategic decisions, human criteria are coming to the forefront. Not just for HR, but for everyone in the company, entrepreneurial thinking is very important. Everyone should think and act as if the company was theirs.
Except the inspiring topics, this event was extraordinary thanks to use of the latest video technologies as a very effective alternative to personal meetings. This meeting was managed through modern technology of Telepresence, thereby Martin Krekáč with moderator Andrea Vadkerti could communicate with the audience „as live“, despite the fact that they were situated in Bratislava, in Soitron headquarters, and their audience in the Holiday Inn Hotel in Žilina.
Successful series of Soitron Brunches continues on April 19 in Košice. Representatives of the key companies in the regions of Košice and Prešov, have an opportunity to discuss with Mr Andrej Kiska, founder of the charity organization Dobrý Anjel, topics as how to build and lead successful business, but also the purpose of the entrepreneur´s work and other topics attractive for senior executives.
