Soitron is looking for an experienced backup & recovery consultant to work for one of our long-term outsourcing clients, a global technology company. You will join a small backup team (an architect and a senior consultant) and independently drive customer projects – from gathering requirements to delivery and documentation. This is not ticket-based support: it is project-oriented consulting work in direct contact with end customers.

• Work directly with customers, understand their needs and proactively identify what should be improved
• Design, implement and optimize backup & recovery solutions (Veeam, HPE Data Protector)
• Assess existing environments, troubleshoot complex issues, support migrations and upgrades
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation
• Contribute to technical proposals and solution designs; act as a backup for your teammates

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a substantial part in backup & recovery
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication and/or HPE Data Protector (in-depth in one, practical experience with the other)
• Linux (RHEL/SUSE), Windows Server, hardware infrastructure (servers, SAN/NAS storage)
• Virtualization – VMware vSphere / Hyper-V
• Experience in a customer-facing or consulting role and with writing technical documentation
• Slovak or Czech language (mandatory)
• Proactive attitude, ownership, good communication skills

Nice to have

• IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM)
• Networking basics (LAN/WAN, throughput, backup windows)
• Immutable backups, ransomware protection, DR/BC (RPO/RTO), cloud targets (S3/Azure Blob)
• Certifications: Veeam (VMCE/VMCA), HPE, VMware VCP
