May 27, 2011, Bratislava - Eight world-renowned personalities from business, politics, sports and personal development are coming to Bratislava this autumn. These selected renowned speakers will appear at the first year of the Big Ideas for CEE conference. It is a pilot project of a unique conference, the first of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. This inspiring event, the first with such strong presence of globally recognized speakers in Slovakia, is brought to you by Soitron.
The event is intended as an inspiration for vice presidents and senior managers (CEOs) of European companies. Selected personalities from various walks of life will offer leaders participating to the event new ideas and strategies, current trends, innovative thoughts and bold visions. They will provide conference participants with a different look behind the business scene, specifically in Central and Eastern Europe. They will discuss topics that connect the worlds of leaders and businesses.
In this first year of the Big Ideas for CEE conference http://www.bigideasforcee.eu, which will take place between October 13 and 14 in Bratislava in the Kempinski River Park Hotel, eight speakers will deliver their talks on management, personal development, IT technology, sports and politics. The greatest chess player of all times Gary Kasparov, known as the invincible strategist and a very intuitive player and considered as one of the top 100 living geniuses in the world, will talk about success based on strategies and tactics. Next speaker is the author of best selling business books and a leading business thinker Scott McKain, who advises millions of businesses people, readers and companies around the world on “how to increase the profitability of their business”, or “how to keep customers”. He is the author of one of the best business books of 2009 and a member of the professional speakers’ Hall of Fame.
A man who managed to turn a local German clothing company Hugo Boss into a globally recognized brand will also come to speak to Bratislava. Peter Littmann is a brand building expert and advisor to global corporations. He has also advised Tomas Bata and one of his current challenges is to build a global brand from Tatratea - a modern Slovak national drink. The well known futurologist and one of Europe's most wanted speakers in his field Magnus Lindkvist will talk about forecasting trends, innovation, creativity and recognition of opportunities.
How to get to the top and stay there - that will be the main theme of the most successful president of the soccer club FC Barcelona Joan Laporta, who in seven years in the president’s chair made FC Barcelona the best club in the world winning six trophies and international prestige. Participants may also take inspiration from the father of coaching and former race car driver Sir John Whitmore, who has educated managers of organizations such as Rolls Royce, British Airways, and Deloitte.
Another speaker appearing at the conference will be the former World Bank’s director Ian Scott, an expert on international economy, development and knowledge management. The two-day marathon will be topped off by Leo F. Johnson - a leading advisor on sustainable development and the identification of social and environmental megatrends who has advised more than 50 international banks and companies.
