Datanet Systems becomes part of Soitron group

Acquisition of 51% of a Romanian company Datanet Systems by Soitron, a.s. was announced today. Datanet Systems is the biggest local Cisco partner with an annual turnover more than 11 million EUR. As a part of its strategy, Soitron aims to grow beyond the Slovak borders. Romania, following the Czech republic, represents another country within the transregional concept.

“We expect considerable synergic effects from the Soitron – Datanet Systems cooperation, as the product portfolio of both companies is very similar – the complex solutions of data and voice communication. We see our Romanian market entry as a great opportunity to apply our experience in areas, which are not covered by Datanet systems today, mainly managed services and management of IT infrastructure. Combining the excellent market position of Datanet Systems and their local know-how, we are able to create a significant potential for further growth of the company and become more stable as well as stronger partner for our customers,” says Ondrej Smolár, Executive Director of Soitron, a.s.

Datanet Systems has been a system integrator since 1998 specialising on data networks for big enterprises and service providers, voice and Unified Communications, as well as videoconferences and contact centres. One of their unique, world-class projects is a solution of communication environment for Air Traffic Control (ATC) based entirely on IP, applying data and voice technologies from Cisco Systems. Datanet Systems is represented by 35 people today, with references of customers who are also well-known in Slovakia – Orange, Reiffeisen, UPC, TNT, to name few of them.
